Ray tracing and shaders
The Steam requirements do not list a ray tracing tier. In the October 28 letter the developer said the day-one patch (about 5 GB) significantly improves ray tracing and path tracing performance, and that rasterized visuals were refined so the art direction holds with ray tracing off. In the November 4 patch, ray tracing shaders stopped being compiled at startup by default. Players who had ray tracing disabled need a one-time shader recompile on first launch; if you turn ray tracing on later, its shaders compile separately on the next restart.
Drivers
In the same letter the developer reported performance instability with NVIDIA driver 621.01 and said version 617.42 gave the best experience in its testing, advising a rollback with a clean install until NVIDIA releases a newer driver. That advice is dated October 28, so check for newer official guidance.
Steam Deck and handhelds
The developer said it tested the game on mid-range and lower-end PCs and on handhelds, and encouraged players to try it. The sources we checked do not give a Steam Deck Verified rating, so we do not list one.
Controllers, aspect ratios and accessibility
Steam lists full controller support, DualShock and DualSense support, Steam Input API support, adjustable text size, custom volume controls, subtitle options and adjustable difficulty. The developer says the game supports 16:9, 16:10 and ultrawide aspect ratios beyond 3:1, offers three button layouts on PS5, and allows more flexible remapping on PC. The November 4 patch added remapping for Interact / Talk on keyboard and controller, plus Hit Sound Intensity and Hit Impact Sound Intensity audio options.
